Harry G. Aldis
A List of Books Printed in Scotland Before 1700
London, Edinburgh Bibliographical Society, 1904. Cloth. An uncommon bibliography of Scottish books, by Harry G. Aldis Focussing on the books printed in Scotland pre-1700, with those printed "furth of the realm for Scottish booksellers", and with notes on the printers and stationers, the work is a detailed and useful reference. From the library of the late Hugh Selbourne MD (1906-1973) a noted book collector and diarist. In cloth binding with paper-covered boards. Externally quite smart, there is some rubbing and marking to the boards, as well as loss to the spine-label. Internally, the pages are generally firmly bound, though there is some strain in places, and are bright and clean throughout, aside from the odd spot and marking to the endpages. Very Good Indeed . Ill.: None. Very Good Indeed .
